Hand-carved bamboo wood detailing and a Grand Staircase provide the perfect setting for your important occasions and meetings – corporate meeting, gala lunch or dinner, wedding, reception, or a meaningful celebration! SFFCC is 9,000 square feet of space that can be transformed into a setting that fits your theme.

Your guests’ experience will begin as they enter the SFFCC street entrance up the elegant Grand Staircase and into the Friendship Foyer. Guests will move through the Friendship Foyer into the Main Hall doors for a reveal of your theme and celebration.

The transition from the Friendship Foyer to the Main Hall provides a dramatic reveal that can wow unsuspecting guests.

The grandeur of this 9,000 square foot space is the intricate use of bamboo wood highlighting the floor-to-ceiling walls contrasting the industrial look of the ceilings. The Main Hall provides a dramatic focal point to the room and helps create an inviting ambiance.

Strategically positioned amid world-class museums (MOMA, Museum of the African Diaspora, The Contemporary Jewish Museum, Mexican Museum, California Historical Society, Children’s Creativity Museum), hotels (Intercontinental, Four Seasons, San Francisco Marriott Marquis, W Hotel, The St. Regis), Yerba Buena Gardens, Metreon, The Carousel, the historical St. Patrick’s Church, SFFCC offers your guests the best of everything San Francisco has to offer. 

Also in the area are Michelin restaurants, wide-ranging cultural attractions and the energy of the City’s convention, tech and arts nerve center, including numerous public transportation options and abundant parking garages.

We’re walking distance to the Union Square which is the premiere shopping area for high end stores including the magnificent Apple Store.

Rental Rates


Rental rates include same day set up and rehearsal, but do not include labor, equipment, insurance, box office services, lobby event space or additional rehearsal or set up days. Merchandise sales, commercial displays and audio/video recording require separate agreements and fees. Rentals on holidays are subject to additional costs. Rates for lobby event rentals in conjunction with stage performances vary based on guest count and type of use.



Fees & Expenses


Security Deposit

A $1,500 security deposit is required by the client. The security deposit will be returned to the client if no damage is incurred. A separate check made out to San Francisco Filipino Cultural Center is required for this deposit.


Performances and events require union stage labor, front-of-house staff, event management, security, and custodial and engineering services. Creating an estimate requires knowing the exact nature of the performance or event, including its timeline, complete technical needs, expected guest count and desired audience services.


Equipment rentals are dependent on the needs of each performance or event. Estimates will be developed at the time of booking. See Equipment for an inventory.


Added lighting will be handled by our certified audio-visual company in conjunction with the SFFCC and described in your production estimate.

The SFFCC must be supplied with a Certificate of Liability Insurance with an Additional Insured Endorsement is required for all performances and events by one (1) month before date of event.

A Certificate of Insurance Insurance shall name the SFFCC as an additional insured and must include Workers Compensation coverage, Public Liability coverage of $1 million and Property Damage coverage of $1 million.

If no approved certificate is delivered, the SFFCC will terminate the contract without liability to the SFFCC for the cancellation.

Merchandise Sales

Merchandise sales must be approved in advance. SFFCC retains 10% of net sales plus applicable sales tax. Licensee must provide seller(s).

Audio & Video Recording

Arrangements for recording must be made in advance and require a separate agreement. Recording(s) may require additional equipment rentals, union labor and origination fees.

Commercial Displays

Third-party commercial displays in the venue (such as corporate sponsor banners or giveaways) must be approved in advance and may be subject to a commercial display fee of $1500 per day.

Food & Beverage

All catering requests require a separate agreement with our exclusive provider of food and beverage.

Cancellation Policy

A $1,500 cancellation fee will be assessed for any and all cancellations in addition to the following charges: If client cancels 10 days prior to the event date, client forfeits 50% of the total production due. If client cancels 5 days prior to the event date, client forfeits 100% of the total production due.


All decorations owned by the client must be removed immediately following the event unless other provisions have been agreed upon in writing with the SFFCC representative.

Damage & Loss

The SFFCC does not permit affixing anything to the walls, floor or ceiling with nail, staples, tape, confetti, rice, etc. The SFFCC is not responsible for any articles or merchandise left in the event space before or after the function.


The SFFCC strives to provide a safe environment for clients and their guests. The building has security officers on duty 24 hours a day. Your own bonded, uniformed security guard service is permitted with prior notification. Events will be reviewed on an individual basis if additional security is required.

Deliveries & Pickup

The SFFCC will not be responsible for deliveries/pickup. A representative of the client must be present. Deliveries/pickups must be scheduled within the limits outlined in the rental contract or with prior review.
